    hi guys,

written a quick write up. only had a couple of flights on it. so its early days yet but first impressions, in the air i think it is noticeably better than the rev-lock.

Hi ade could be a little more specific as to why you think its better in the air than the revlock?
I use the revlock 10 in both my nitro slurpers not felt the need to get the Rl20 as i'm happy with the 10, i used to use TJ pro's but prefer the CSM just because it has a little more finess about it like gradual ramp up and visual rpm selection its lighter and cheaper!
The only critism i have about the revlock is its very picky on engine tuning and think you have to be careful on your throttle servo selection too. I've managed to get them working perfectly but i've seen other people struggle.
    cheers Lee

yes that is a major issue with the rev-lock. bad fuel and pipes only make the problem worse.

it sounded more consistant engine speed was audiably more consistant and was confirmed with sky tach. but as i say its early days yet. i need to get a gallon on it to be really sure. I will also be testing the ATGs ability to maintain control in less than ideal conditions. A classic one is at low headspeeds the rev-lock tries too hard.

Doesn't sound much fun to calibrate! but then the revlock's not as straight foward as the TJ.... like most new gear you have a play and before you know it you don't need any instructions to set it up, the actual proof in the flying.
as for fuel i stick to magnum 20-30% with zimmerman on the 50's and mp2 or hatori on the 90's usually run very sweet.
have you tried running a tail servo or of that spec on the throttle with the revlock? I could not get it to stop over running when you off load it/hunting in the hover even with the gain turned down, put an 8231 on there sweet!!?
My theory was i've got a KO on the pitch need a throttle servo to keep up... no it was actually getting ahead of the pitch, sorted it with a much slower servo
