  • 601 gyro...

    Guys,
Copyed my Raptor 30 to my new cap9 and its fine with the 401.

But my Predator with a 601 now the push rod trys to move to far one
way and will bend if I let it. Strange looked through the 7c settings looking at end points etc but nothing to indicate why it now does this.

    Any ideas?

Or how do I adjust it... Or maybe I should get a 401 for the Gasser....
    or CSM 720 even....

      Ade:

I recon 4-5mm maybe certianly enough to be well seen and enough for me not to fly it. As it is.

Strange will do some checks Saturday how it is with the 7c.

The end points on a 601 are set on the gyro itself rather than on the transmitter. The ATV's for the rudder channel on the transmitter will only affect the pirouette rate rather than the end points of the tail movement.

The most common reason why end points move or differ is because they were setup pre setting the neutral point of the tail, so in other words if you have changed the mechanical linkage to get the model to hover straight without drifting, then the end points might well have moved.

As you have changed transmitter, it is also worth just checking if the gyro is in sync with the 9C, the easiest way to check this is if the gain value on the gyro amp is the same as the one in the transmitter. If not adjust the gain value on the gyro amp until it is.

        Cheers,
        Pete.

              Today reveals more...

Had the Gasser out with the 9cap tranny today and well... 601 locked in the tail really well very. Just flying around nice and slow and slow turns as I dare with it. I was charging up for a bit of a blast then the rain came along and I didnt get to tear the sky up.

Found why the Tail pushrod looked strange... Was depending how you look at the push rod and it wasnt binding

Raptorlite is bang on the actual travel of the servo is adjusted in the gyro it "shouldn't" matter what TX your using.
With most modern gyro's you trim any drift out mechanically in non HH (no trims or subtrims!) set the slider(servo) travel in the gyro, then your rudder ATV's are your piro rate and your switched channel is gain.
pop the linkage off the servo end, give full stick either way offer it up to the servo make sure your getting full tail pitch both ways without it trying to overdrive things if not adjust it accordingly in the amp.
                cheers Lee
