  • S9254 spares

Anyone know where I can get spare gears for the S9254. I have tried the servo shop and they don't seem to list them.

I got my model shop to order them from Ripmax for me. Came in the next delivery.

Would you trust your £xxxx helicopter to a home made tail servo repair?

        I wouldn't - I'd just buy a new one.

done it loads of times. JR591's went once, S9206 gears, S9254 gears. As long as you put back together the way it came apart its a doddle.

I agree with Stuart...it is easy if done correctly.

But then again...that Synergy is a bit of a gem

Some people have more money than others. Would you change your car too, if your gear box went?

I've replaced the gear sets on at least one of the HS56s on my trex every time I crash.

No problem at all to fix.

The important thing is to clean out the old grease and ALL the stripped gear teeth before you put the new gear set and grease in.
I have had a problem with a stray tooth in a servo. Luckily, I found out while the heli was on the floor

Thanks guys. Gears are on order There is a big diffenence in price £4.50 for gears and +/- £70.00 for a new servo!!

Lee what type of gease did you use. I see the grease in the servo seems to be very soft, will silicon grease work?

Not sure what grease it was - plastic friendly stuff I guess. It looked like white lithium soap based stuff but could be wrong. I "borrowed" a bit off a chap at the field. I should really buy some in case of another T-rex incident
