  • Gears Anyone

Hi fella's. I need a bit of help tracking down some servo gears. Have tried the usual suspects but to no avail. Servo's are Futaba 3305 with metal gears
    Regards

The gear set for the 3305 is listed as futaba part no: Y-AS4106, and retails at £22.99

Any shop that stocks futaba goods can order these in for you from Ripmax, as they dont deal with the public directly.

An alternative might be to go for some more accurate and precise digital servos, if metal gears is what you particularly like then the 3050's are metal gears and very good servos, they retail at £34.99 so its not that much more than the gear set you are looking for.

I think if you changed to digital servos you would notice a huge difference in how smooth and accurate the model flew compared to the standard coreless ones.

      Cheers,
      Pete.

3050s are under £30 at Inwoods, and cheaper still abroad.

Excellent servos - got a load of them in my 30 and 50 sized helis.

Hi fella's Thanks for the replies
Ade: You may be right mate, these are for my R50 which is worn out. Rebuild is scheduled to start Boxing day. every thing is bought bearings, balls, links yada yada, the servo's are the last component.
So Ade would you recommend the 3152's and what battery would I need. At present running 4.8 2000mha with 401/9254
Remember guy's when recommending servos it has taken me 6 years to date and Iam still trying to hover inverted (slow learner. Its an age thing)

            regards

definitly worth the upgrade. I have a couple of guys here that are just getting out into the circuit and noticed a great improvement in the accuracy of the model in the hover. The model responds to the stick inputs now where before with analogues it was like having 40% expo.

              the 2000 nicad is fine.
