  • Servo losing trim!

    Hi all,

Every few flights or so, I find myself having to adjust roll trim substantially to maintain a level hover.

Upon closer inspection, the LH 120' CCPM servo arm is not at 90' at mid stick as it should be...The other two servos are, as per previously set up.

I rectify this with either subtrim, or relocation of the arm on the spline.
All is well until a few flights later then it happens again!!

I'm using Hitec optic6 radio with standard servos....Do I have a bad servo???

try swapping the possibly bad servo with one of the others, and see if the problem moves.

I would not fly the heli with that servo again. get yourself 3x futaba 3152s these are far more reliable as they are better protected against vibration. The model will be much nicer to fly too.

I'd get rid of those Hitec's, they are notorious for their inability to remember where "Centre" is

I had a JR DS811 start showing similar traits, it was also noticably sluggish, mind you, it was at least two years old !, I ignored it for a couple of weeks. . . . . . . . . . to my cost, it failed on take off and lead to a crash.

Totally avoidable crash. . . . . . . . I have even put a replacement servo in my flight box, but couldn't be arsed to fit it

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?
