Recommend a Gyro please.

I had to fit a 401 to a pal's heli & found out that a JR 8900G servo he had fitted would not work with the 401.


So I swapped a spare 9254 for the 8900G & now need a gyro to work with it on by Century Bell 47G.

Presently this has a JR rate gyro & a cheapish tail servo and is not to my flying style!!.

So, what gyro to match the JR 8900G servo for a Bell 47??.

Just fitted a Solig G with my 8900 on a recommendation from others on here.

CSM 720 will do the trick

Or CSM 560 micro V4 is good as well

Any JR gyro (770T etc)
Any CSM gyro (720 etc)
Spartan

All the above will work fine with a 8900 servo.

My current preference is for a Spartan.

If you're interested, my friend is selling ebay item number 250391024107 which currently has just under 2 hours to go. I can personally vouch for this equipment - it's in tip-top condition.

I've got to say since I've fitted the Spartan to my 450 that I'm a convert. It's totally nailed, feeling twice as locked as the 401 ever felt. So my recommendation goes with the Spartan....

For a cheap gyro i like the Logitech 2100 but for the extra money i love the Align GP750 which holds my trex 450 tail like it's stuck to the sky.

For me it would be the Spartan for easy installation and setup. The only thing you will have to do is choose the correct settings for your tail servo before plugging it in.

I like the CSM 720 but only if someone has been into the settings and adjusted a few parameters.

I see from Mid Helis that there is a free upgrade until May.

Not sure what all that means though.
