  • Spartan Settings

    Hi all
Finally got a Spartan for my Knight Sport, using a BLS 251 on the tail, and fitted the 3d mixer arms. Can anyone advise me on what settings to put into the gyro, other than the correct tail servo!!
Also, do I need to externally power the gyro to set it, or should it get a power supply via the usb cable?
    Cheers in advance

It needs to be plugged in to the receiver to work. Mount it on your heli then brave the glow oil and get it next to your PC

I assume you will only use heading hold, so set up the tail blades so they are flat and centred at centre rudder servo travel.

Go through the manual setup using the gain switch to set the direction and get as close as you can to the maximum travel on the tail.

Then, plug it in the gyro in to the PC, power up and find it. Make a note of the end points and set the highest one to the lowest one. Idealy you want them symetrical.

    That should get ya going

Make a note of the settings (save the file), as when you upgrade the software, you have to reset the settings as well.
