  • is a jp hl800 gyro compatable with a align ds520 dig tail servo?

    hi,
as iv already mentioned in the beginner section im having problems with the head holding on my trex 450. been down the club tonight and have had the fellow members try and get my heli flying but we are having problems.
iv have tried a different tx just incase mine was playing up, still the same checked all setting ect.
the only thing we can think of atm is the gyro is not compatable with a digital tail servo.
does anybody know the answer or where i could find the answer.

    cheers Jon
    Thanks

If the gyro doesnt have a digital/analogue switch then you could be right. It's not a very good gyro anyway,it was sold with the blade 400 which uses cheap servos that although called digital must be treated as analogue. So your gyro is designed for old servos. Digital servos work quicker and need a slightly different output from the gyro. Try a 401 or something with SMM and digital output.

no it doesnt have a digital/analogue switch. ill try a hs65 on there. if it works then ill keep the align servo for when i get better and upgrade to a 401. that way i save 100+ pound which i could put towards spares and a few batteries
      Thanks
