  • CSM Revlocks

I nearly crashed my heli yesterday due to the soft spool up feature of my revlock 10, it was a very close call.
Does anyone know if this feature can be turned off on the revlock 20 & 30 via the usb lead? If not I fear I may have to buy another make of govenor that doesnt have this feature.

I'm not sure you can switch off the soft start. I asked the same question to an experienced club member and he didnt think it was possible. I would like to be corrected though as I too am not a big fan of the soft start when practicing autos.

Tony the revlock 10 takes about 6 seconds to go from hold to limited speed you have set & I was about 7 seconds from the deck when I bailed & then nearly soiled myself.

Yeh not good but I wobbled my way out of it at maybe 6 ish feet praying for the speed to get up which it did so all was well.
I'm now looking for an alternative govenor, but which one to get is whats confusing me.

The multi gov pro features an adjustable soft start so you can alter the time it takes to spool back up to speed.

When I do a throttle hold and then abort the throttle hold, the rotor speed spools back up too slowly. What can I do?
When you do a throttle hold and the rotor speed drops very low, the slow startup is re-engaged when you abort the throttle hold. To have the rotor speed startup faster, set the "Startup Speed" value higher in the "Advanced Configuration" options. Increase to your liking.

Er if your practicing autos just dis-engage the rev-lock at the start of the auto and leave it off for doing auto's.

When you return to normal flying then re-engage it.

I know that thanks. Its just more flipping switches that I could do without. Suppose it sharpens the mind requiring every auto to be a good one!
