601 won't settle down....

Guys,

On my Predator the 601 gyro won't settle down I keep getting small
amounts of tail wag. Very off putting any ideas?

Wound the gain down to 25-30% wags get bigger wound it up
to 40% still there.

I was told not to wind the gain over 38% - 40%
by the guy I bought it off, as it can kill the servo?

Can I wind it higher and not kill the 9251 servo?

All advice welcome.

its probably the engine running a little roughly. have a mess with the tuning and see how you get on.

set the gain to 37% and leave it. any tail problems i have had in the past have been down to engine and airframe not the gyro or servo itself.

if the tuning doesnt fix it, check the back end for slop and slackness, especially stuff like boom supports and the drive.

Engine seemed to be fine, No tail drive slop but will check Boom supports
airfrane was okay the other day as I gave it the once over.

I don't really want to touch the engine as all its flights have been good upto
now. But there was no wind today and ever other time its flown theres
been at least a 5mph breeze.

if it hasnt been touched since i set it up i would say that the engine will def need a tweek.

Safest way to start playing is to Richen up the top end slightly and see it it gets worse.
