  • CCPM Servo's whats the options....

    Guys,

CCPM Vibe 50 currently I fly with 9252's

2nd vibe 50 is coming so what do you recommend 6volts will be fine for me
something similar to 9252's would be okay or better but no idea whats current in the servo world...

going to have a 9254 on the tail and CSM 720 gyro then its just battery choice regulator....

I'm getting good results out of the Align DS610 servos on cyclic - cheap, powerful and working well.

    Cheers,

I could pull 3 9252's out of a plane but then the plane needs decent servos....

do tell what you've heard about the aligns...

The only issue I've had with the align servos is the cases being a bit brittle. I had these same 610s fitted to my Trex700 which had about 25 gallons through it before I sold it and they are now fitted to my Aurora.

When I removed them from the 700 (which had not been crashed), two of the three cases had broken mounting lugs. I hadn't noticed this in flight as they were still securely fixed to the model. Replacement cases are about £4 each for the top and bottom parts and new screws. The middle part of the servo case is a metal heatsink.

The servos themselves perform very well... I like them anyway!

                Cheers,
                Rob

ive heard stories of them failing from one guy, along with the brittle cases as rob has already pointed out. But at the same time ive heard a few people now say that they like them and they seem to perform fine. Some one told me also that they dont perform to the spec thats wrote on the box??? How true these storys are i really dont know because ive never actually seen them in the flesh myself yet so can only pass information ive heard.

                  Cheers

                    3 x 8915
                    1 x 8900
                    1 x 589

                    in my Vibe 50

8231s are a good price, slow but very accurate, good holding.

ive got 620 in my 700, at the time of getting them we didnt know they were going to be considered tail servos but I have to say their fine for me, aggressive sports flying with attempted 3D havnt done as many gallons through the 700 as I would have liked due to engine troubles.

only thing I did notice the servos seam a little notchy when not under power, but I dont know if this is since being used or if they have always been like it, its certainly not something you notice once powers on and their in the air.
                              All the best
