  • IGC540 and servo play

    Hi all.

Ive got a Raptor50 that I'm learning to fly.

It has a CSM IGC540 gyro running a bog standard 148.

Ive noticed that the tail servo is always buzzing and when I twist it, it has some play in it (quite a lot), but its not mechanicaly induced.

When I connect the servo straight to the receiver (no gyro) this all goes away.

    Is something wrong?

dont know a lot about your gyro but it is normal for the tail servo to buzz as the gyro is constantly giving it commands,
    flying better all the time

sounds like the gyro needs setting up. Probably in digital servo mode.

      manual can be found here:

      http://www.rcmodels.org/csm/icg540.htm

if you plan on moving your flying forward you are going to want to upgrade minimum the servo, preferably the gyro too. 401/9254 will give years of trouble free low maintanance high performance use.
