There was a thread on here a few months ago about them failing.

My mate had 2 of them and they both failed, causing about £300 of damage on his 90 each time.
He has since sent them back, got a refund and is now using Align 2 in 1's.

The problem is the 2 boards inside are mounted at right angles, and there is quite a large "blob" of solder making a connection between them.
The solder gets a crack in it breaking the connection, and cutting the power.

I'll try and find the old thread for you.

You know me well It is for them. I take it you run the ElyQ for your 8915 at 8V?

Yip i run the 8915s on the ElyQ Dual Regulator on my Trex 700n. Love the regulator itself, very neat little unit. Try one i think you'll love it. My RX is run at a regulated 5v with the servos running on by pass voltage which basically is as good as coming straight off the RX lipo pack. You get servo leads that go from the unit to the RX to do this. Basically anything you plug into the RX is 5V and anything that goes into the regulator is ran at whatever voltage you select. It is compatible with all the battery types(NiCd, NiMh, LiPo, Li-Io). The output is selectable for servos that plug directly into the regulator (5V,6V, 7.2V, or by pass mode). It has a small switch on the unit and also and external one which can be mounted into the model frame. The voltage is fully selectable. Its all inside a very neat looking translucent case. It has an LED meter for obvious reasons and the unit itself is very light.
As i say i love it, great little regulator. I recommended one to Tony (Sesame) and he loves it also. If Tonys reading this im sure he'll chip in.
            Hope that helps some.

            Cheers

              Funny you should ask.
I started the thread on the failing ReactorX regulators and have since fitted an ELYQ one and has been fine since.

Cool, so what Lipo would you say I should use for getting the most out of the servos?

Yip the Outrage pack i listed will be great. 5000MAH so you can fly all day without having to even batter an eye lid about charging. To be honest though as long as its 2s2p then just use the battery of your usual choice... ie FlightPower, Revo,TP etc
                        Cheers

Check it out mate, you can see the regulator and also the switch to the left of the BLS251 tail servo. Also if you look on the unit itself you can see the tiny switch on there i was talking about earlier. See the servo leads coming from the regulator going to the AR7000 mounted above? You cant see in the pics but the 3 ccpm servos are plugged into the regulator behind them leads. My outrage pack mounts underneath the regulator but i didnt have it yet when that pic was taken. I think you'll agree its a nice small/neat little unit unlike alot of the other regulators ive seen:-

                              Hope that helps.
                              Cheers
