    Static hits

Mine got to the point where I could only spool up. As soon as I got to max headspeed before I took off the tail would just let go

      my tail was rock solid
i replaced my cf frames to rjx silver g10 at the build process
so i dont think this is static??
it has never /or never noticed this before
and i know rainman has probably put 100 flights with the same setup with no probs
      cheers

Mine was fine for ages then I had exactly the same thing.

Gyro is now on my Outrage and works fine.

I put a Spartan and the TT tail on my 500 just to be sure

I ran a thin wire from the rear tail case bearing to the boom
then a thin wire from the boom(other end) to the bearing that holds the take off gear
then a wire to the motor mount
and then finally on to the Negative of teh battery

I did all of the above as I only wanted to do this once and not faf around trying different things

I'll try and get some pics up maybe tomorrow

                Taken from CSM website

The model twitches erratically and violently in yaw.
If you are using a belt-driven tail, then the problem is probably static electricity. If this problem is not sorted, then it may cause damage to the electronics on your helicopter. An anti-static spray on the belt is the easiest solution. It is also possible to get grounding systems which ground the electricity safely. The latest versions of the SL720 and SL630 have the feature that if the gyro sees a static discharge, or a power dip or surge, during flight, the SET LED will be flashing on landing the model.

So not only static but also if you have power supply problems.
