Using DS760 with JR 8700G. Running at max gain allowable. When tic-tocking the nose is very gradually turning between top and bottom collective requiring constant correction. Should I expect this as a limitation of performance or is the Spartan capable of maintaining heading during this manouvre?

It could be your thumbs rather than the gyro.
Try adding a bit of expo to the rudder control, or increasing the dead band slightly in the PC interface so that the slight and unavoidable rudder inputs during the pitch changes have a smaller or more negligible affect.
Just a thought.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)

the gyro is MORE than capable of this basic thing.
the suggestion above is an excellent one and is probably the most common cause of these type of things.
if you find the expo is not helping then the tail power maybe a little low. by that it could be one or a combo of HS, tail blades, mechanical setup. this generally applies to all gyros. for example if the servo arm is too short then you have slowed the servo down which ultimately will take that little bit longer to correct the HH. i'm not saying that is the case here but just a generalisation. one other thing could be the gyro mounting is too soft. this will have a similar effect.
cheers

just thought i would add somthing here when using the sim concentrate on the collective managment and stick positioning top to bottom pitch. and take that to the patch it will come natrally ing the end.good luck and yes the 760 gyro is spot on in heading lock.also chack the headspeed is consistant and 1950 2050 ish pending on the heli and gear ratio..

It seems to be the low rotor spead, try to speed it up as much as possible.Originally posted by Predbasher View PostUsing DS760 with JR 8700G. Running at max gain allowable.
