Now thats sevice for you and also co-operation between shops ... God I love this hobby
Absolutely bloomen fantastic....I say.
Its great to see two players in the market working together to help a customer. Just like the rest of the remaining members constantly helping each other out its great to see a common goal in action for the betterment of the hobby.
Round of applause for EvoRC and Midland as well as Spartan RC.
Mind you i must say that this is not the first time EvoRC has done things like this. Andy sorted a Knight3D canopy out for me a while back which i didnt even purchase from him. Cant remember where i got it now but it arrived damaged (think it was from fastlad). Through the help of Rob i think it was then Andy replaced it for me in order so i could get it quicker. Now thats service and its guys like these that make this hobby so bloody good. They fully understand how frustrating it is when your waiting for gear to get your pride and joy back in the air. Cheers guys.
When model shops are prepared to help each other in the interests of the modeller then you have to praise them.
What this does highlight though is most model shops are unable to actually provide the service they are supposed to. In that as the supplier it is to them you go when you have a problem with an item not to their supplier or the manufacturer. For a retailer to sell all of their stock so they are unable to make warranty replacements is hardly providing a service.
I used to work in computer peripheral sales and we had to hold a certain amount of stock for warranty even if it meant losing a sale.
