as my spartan has become f,u,b,a,r i have been writing e-mails to spartan and getting the useull questions back" PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT PLUGED IN PROPERLRY, ETC,ETC," so i spoke to trevor at MIDLANDHELICOPTERS who was very helpfull said if he had one in-stock he would exchange it for me (top bloke) BUT they havent got any!! so i am looking to buy a new one whilest this faulty one is replaced/returned to spartan rc.. so my question is does anyone know where they are IN-STOCK???? i have looked at the useuall main shops but no stock (till next year??!!)

just for your info, i too had a dodgy spartan but angelos got me to send it in and he checked it. i had it back fixed in 3 days

it was the sense lead that had come unslodered

hope my gyro will be fixed as quick but as i say i have e-mailed 4-5 times,, still waiting for a reply to an e-mail sent thismorning,, so inbetween i think i will order another,, got plenty of helis i can fit to when its returned from repair,,

I hate to think what would happen if the sense lead became detached during flight!!!!

Ouch, you wouldn't be likely to prove the gyro was at fault either!

from the information you provided to us it seems highly unlikely that the gyro is faulty and I explained to you why.

* Since the light flashes it means that gyro processor is powered and running.
* Since the light does not flash continuously it means that the gyro is receiving the rudder and gain signals.
* All other behaviour is controlled by the firmware and thus your gyro will behave exactly the same as any other gyro.

I have no problem with you sending the gyro to us to be checked, I am just trying to save you the postage as if the gyro is not found faulty you will need to cover the return postage fees too. I hope I am proven wrong! But I have to tell you, this isn't the first nor the last time a customer is convinced that a gyro is faulty but it works perfect when it arrives to us.
