Futaba GY520 Gyro

colin_n pointed this new gyro from Futaba out to me recently - the GY520.

Looks like it's a small one-piece unit that is small and likely to be priced as a direct competitor to similar gyros such as the Spartan and CSM720.

There's little or no mention of it that I can find on Futaba's website, and this link is from Tower Hobbies in America.

Looks like it's priced at about $200 in the US

nope, nothing new. was shown at one of the big shows about 6 weeks ish ago. uses a MEMS sensor and is indeed about the $200 mark. the release date is speculative at best as generally there is a 3-6 month delay on futaba items.....time will tell.
