  • Unlucky crash and spare parts advice

    Hi,

After an extreamly unlucky crash I have damaged some parts on my gyro/servo. I am using the Hitec HG-5000 gyro with the HS-5083MG servo.

However I have broken the lug that is used to screw it to the servo mount and annoying the plastic female part of the gyro cable that the servo cable plugs into.

I am okay with soldering etc.. but where can I get a new case for this servo and the female connector for the gyro?

Any help greatly appreciated - I'm not sure how much longer the super glue will last.

any model shop should sell them just go in and ask for a servo extension and cut the bit you don't need off. i think they do sell the female connector on its own as well. might be worth using a bit of epoxy on the servo its a bit stonger than super glue i believe

I broke my 5083 case and found one on eBay, there are none listed at the moment but here's the link to the item, may be worth emailing and seeing if they have one.

Failing that, give RealRaptors a call and see if he can get one form Amerang.
