    Morning,

I have been out this morning and I had gyro problems for the first time the heli would turn left fine but not right it would be ok in a hover but if the heli was flying from left to right when I tried to turn the nose right to come back I gave it full stick and nothing happend it did this every time I tried it but then when I brought the heli back in front of me in a hover it was ok?

I have an analoge servo which has been fine I am not pushing it and it has been ok.

Did you setup the gyro in rate mode first? So that it hovers with the tail straight without any stick input or rudder trim? Then once thats done ya flick the rate switch a few times back and forth and the gyro remembers the point to use as a refrence for heading hold. What are your end points set at? They should be 100/100 when setting up and then reduced/increased to get the tail to feel the way you like it (how fast it will piro).
Does your tail pitch slider and control rod move freely and easily? What servo are you using?

      Lee,

Ok the rod and sliders move freely I am using a s3001 servo I dont use rates as the switch is broken unless you mean the gyro switch which does work. I have a 6exhp tx the switch is set to up +72% down to +54% is this ok I wasnt sure id it should be +71% -54% ?

I have ajusted the servo travel with the limit pot and the delay is set to 0.

I was using a 9650 servo till I crashed and I am waiting for cash to replace it with a new one but I have been using the 3001 for a couple of weeks and it has been good as gold.

Althought I am only a beginner and I have only be flying forward for a couple of flights.

The gain should be up around the mid to high 70's if not into the 80's. Have you altered any of the Sub Trim or Travel Adjust?

I learnt the hard way too.. Mechanical setup in rate mode is the key to getting it right.

Loads of info on the forum for 401 setup. Do a search and you will find all you need to know.

Did you have the gyro in DS mode with the 9650?

If so did you disable this before using the 3001? If not then the 3001 may be a bit unhappy
