  • JR PCM 9x & Futaba 401 Gyro

Anyone know if you can use the gyro sens function on the JR PCM 9xII Tx with the futaba 401 gyro? For the JR gyro's >50% is HH and <50% is rate mode.

Any ideas if this would be the same for the 401??

Mate of mine flies 401's on a pcm9 Tx ... Set it that as a starting point then adjust accordingly ....

      No need,

Plug the remote wire in to the gear channel and use the travel adjust on the gear channel to set your gain.
      Align T-Rex 600n Pro (Now with 3GX)
      Align T-Rex 500CF(Gone)
      Align T-Rex 450 Pro

What he said. I find it the easiest way to set up any gyro.

Yeah it is the same. I use a 401 and a PCM9x and have the remote gain set up.

The advantage of the gyro gain function is that it allows you to have different gains in different flight modes. However, with modern gyros being so good for so little money, there isn't a great deal of point in my opinion, so I use the gear channel for my gyros on the 9x. I then use the gyro gain function to control my governor, so the head speed is fixed into each flight mode.

And yes, 50% on the gyro gain page = 0% on the unit, so the gain for your gyro or governor rises as it moves away from 50% in either direction.

0% gyro gain function = 100% on the unit
25% gyro gain function = 50% on the unit
50% gyro gain function = 0% on the unit
75% gyro gain function = 50% on the unit
100% gyro gain function = 100% on the unit
