ACE BLC-40 esc manual misprint

I have encountered a strange change in head spead on my mini titan if a fast full pitch input is given for as long as i have had the heli.
This occurs in all flight modes even idle up 2 which is set across the board at 100%.
Up until now I have ignored it as it has not made much difference to the way I fly but a friend flew the heli today and suggested the ESC was programmed in govenor mode!
According to the set up manual it does not have a govenor mode. But on closer reading it appears that there is a misprint on the very last option of settings. The last two options of the function mode chart read; HELICOPTER MODE WITHOUT GOVENOR.
We established today the first of these two options actually is; helicopter mode WITH govenor! Due to the head speed doing what it should after selecting option two.
Anyone else found this to be an issue?

Its great to have a heli doing what it should for a change!

I have seen this before, but could never remember which setting was governor mode, I will check mine is in that mode tomorrow.

According to the article in this months Model Helicopter World the 5-2 ringtone is governor on and the 5-3 ringtone is governor off. If ya look at the format of the other settings though it would appear to be the other way round as off is always first or lower settings then higher ones next. Im pretty sure even they have got it wrong though as i used to have one before it went up with the magic smoke. I purchased a Flightech Synergy ESC and never had any issues with it at all. Anyways... just to clarify id say 5-2 ringtone is governor off and the 5-3 one is governor on. It will be very easy to tell though when you fly it.

Our findings today showed that actually the 5-2 tone was governor on and 5 - 3 governor off. Which is contrary to what I would have thought.

Whilst in the 5 - 2 tone mode the motor speed was constant irrespective of which flight mode was selected i.e normal/idle up 1/idle up 2 and would jump to full output when full pitch command (pos/neg) was given.

After selecting tone 5 - 3 the motor speed reflected the throttle curves that have been set up i.e idle 1 is 80% across the board and when changing to idle 2 (100%)the motor output increased 20%.
It therefore seemed reasonable to say tone 5- 2 is governor on whilst tone 5 - 3 is governor off.

looks like MHW were correct after all then. Strange though that they broke the format on the last option in the ESC program isnt it? Like i say its pretty easy to tell the diffrence anyways. Glad you sorted it then.
