  • DS760 Setup

Ok it's official....I am thick because i apparently cannot get the easiest gyro in the world to talk to my servo....Help

Radio is the PCM 9X11, receiver is RS 10DS, servo S9251, gyro as above.
Not sure if i have selected the right channel, the gyro seems to be responding correctly when switching on but i cannot enter config mode for servo selection.
Basically the gyro gives me the 2 flashes as per manual which suggests the right mode for the servo but i can't get any response from my servo.

    Any help appreciated folks,

    cheers,

    lawser

To get into setup mode you need to switch between heading hold & non heading hold very swiftly whilst switching the model on.
You need to work out which switch on your tx is asigned to the gyro remote function then make sure the travel volumes are set correctly & that the switch indeeds switches avcs on & off.
Ah just re read your post I see its not responding to the pulse width adjustment for the servo. Try support found here http://www.spartan-rc.com/support.php

You need to do the switch waggiling thingy with the rudder held hard left. then you should get 1-2-3 flashes for the pulse width. Remember left is only left if its not reversed. You need two flashes for a 9251 7(60Us 333Hz) then toggle the waggly switch and you should have a tail servo...

unplug the gyro gain from your rx and put a servo in there. flick your gyro switch and see if the servo moves. assuming it does put the values quite far apart in the atv's or the gyro menu (whichever you use). re-test and make sure the servo works (do NOT use the 9251 for this test nor plug it into the gyro until AFTER you have done the below!!!)

when you have the above working plug the gyro gain back in. switch your tx and rx off. now power on as normal but flick the gain switch rapidly while holding your rudder stick to the left. the gyro should now flash indicating your ready to select your servo. you want 2 flashes so move the rudd till you get 2 flashes. now toggle the gain to save settings. power off and now connect your servo and then proceed with the rest of the setup.

        cheers
