Hi all
Hope every one is happy again. Does anyone know if the digital servo S9254 makes a different noise to normal servos. It is a little like a high pitched scream more than a drone. Keep cool.

you must have good ears to hear the servos move while the engine is running....lol

I've used both futaba and Hitec digital servos on the rudder and they all make a high pitched noise at idle. Normal servos do the same thing, but make a lower hum. Basically it from the servo constantly checking its centre position.

As long as your linkages are free from binding this is normal.

Ok. Thanks guys. Hey Lik, good to see you are happy. I can hear the servo because I havn't started it yet. Just finished building and am a bit nervous about start it up. Is there much of a difference between the 30 and 50 size engine powers?

Yes I find it a bit annoying when your setting up on the bench - thinking back to my first set - It was Skyleader gear - The best British made kit you could buy .
At Idle you could see the servos moving hear them growling a street away as they kept confirming the centre position.
Just as well I wasn't flying helis then, just planks.

Yea I find the 9254 does tend to jitter, sometimes with heli on bench I just have to fart in its general direction and its off, trying to correct itself

Mine does that too Mack.

Very responsive to stick input too.
