Which Governor (Trex 700n, OS 105, BD3SX, Switchglo)

I'm currently looking at equiping my newly acquired 700n DFC with an OS 105HZ or HZ-R and I'm wondering which governor to use.


I already have a Bavarian Demon 3SX and a Switchglo. I am planning on keeping things simple and plugging two sats into the 3SX so no extra channels for any additional functions (the switchglo will be used via a push button).

I believe my options are either an Align, CY ATG or Multigov. Can anyone advise me on the pros/cons of these units? Should I just go for the cheapest as I'm not going to be using any advanced functions, just the rev limiter?

easiest option would be the align gov, works a treat ian and probably the easiest to set up

Ian does the bavarian not have a governor built in?? Most fbl's do nowadays

Unfortunately not. Its the one feature the BD units desperately need.

In that case then id say get the align governor. Its cheap and works pretty well. If you need a hand with it, myself n Tony will help.

I've been looking at the Align Gov instructions and its max input voltage is 6v. I was going to run the whole heli on a 2s Lipo with HV servos, which I cannot with this gov. Does anyone know if the others are able to run on 8.4v before I go hunting the internet for the instructions?

Dont think they will Ian. Im pretty sure the futaba gov will run on unregulated lipo, but not sure on the others im afraid

I have an ATG V3 if you want to try it Ian. I have never used it myself but I had a quick look at the CY website and it says it is rated to 12v, so should be fine in a HV setup.

Thank you for the offer, I'll send you a PM. I was on the way to choosing an ATG after looking up the input voltages. The multigov is 10v, but has way more features than I need.
