Does any one strip their servos to adjust the gearing to gain a better zero position. I'm having a go cos I don't want huge input figures on the sub trim when setting up, but it's very frustrating , any tips ?

I don't think it's possible to adjust the centre position internally, the potentiometer on the output shaft is set by the locating groove on it. To reduce the amount of sub trim, just move the servo arm round on the splines to get the best centre position. Worth trying different servo arms as well, the splines are sometimes moulded differently and some give better results than others....

One option is to use adjustable arms, like you will see on the Forza 700 and the TT e700. These allow you to slide the arm into the perfect position and then tighten up the grub screw to keep them in place.
These are one kind, but there are others with a single output ball, it depends on what you are fitting them too...

Another option for Futaba/Align servos are the KST Adjustable CNC Metal Servo Arms.
