Spartan Vx1e Govner Magnets

Hi,
After years flying Nitro's before having quite a long break from the hobby, getting back into flying helis last year flying electric models.I now fancy trying nitro again so picked up a hardly used Synergy n5 of eBay which I have been rebuilding,I am converting it to flybarless and going to use a Spartan Vx1e flybarless system.My question is the heli was running a Csm Revlock 10 governor with magnets already installed in the clutch bell,not sure of the make of these magnets but will they be OK to run with the Spartan Governor or do you have to buy the Spartan magnets.

It's just looking for one magnet. You should be fine with the CSM, one up, one down or one mag and a balance weight all good.

You won't be able to use the CSM sensor, they use an analogue type and you will need a digital. Theres a list on the Spartan website of sensors that work I think. The Align one works with the +ve and -ve reversed and they're cheap. Spartan also do their own.

The Spartan RPM sensor is specifically designed to work with the Vortex. Part no: SRC-RPM and SRC-RPMK (with mounting brackets). [Details here.]
We have also successfully used the following sensors, however it is not possible to know that all electrical specification are met.

• ATG governor sensor
• MultiGov governor sensor
• Throttle Jokey governor sensor
• Spektrum backplate sensor
• Align governor sensor *
The following sensors are known to be incompatible with the Vortex as they are analogue type:
• CSM RevLock sensor
• Futaba GV1, GY701, GY750 governor sensor

* The Align governor sensors requires a new servo style plug to be fitted at the end of the wire. Please note that the wires of the Align sensor do not follow conventional colour coding. The black wire is (+) and

Dont think the CSM sensor will work you need the Spartan sensor..

I had already realised I couldn't use the Csm Revlock sensor so ordered a Spartan sensor when buying the Vx1e,what I really need to know is if I can use the old magnets in the clutch bell with the Spartan governer or will I have all the hassle of removing them to put in Spartan governor magnets.
