  • Running 8.2v servos

So I want to run x8 servos at 8.2v I guess I need to run a 3s lipo with a regulator my question is what is the best 3s lipo for the job it's going on a goblin 700
    cheers for any help

Or consider 2S lipo straight through without regulator? Slightly lower voltage but nothing noticeable.

I use that setup already on a x50 I have
i was looking at running 8.2 as they run at that so figure it's worth running at 8.2
      cheers for your reply

You could use a BEC, which I think most will handle up to 6s. Or a regulator capable of running off a 3 cell LiPo like the ReactorX V2. I always thought these regulators should have been made to run off a 3 cell pack because then you have so much more headroom before the pack voltage starts getting down to the output voltage.

As for what 3 cell pack, a 20C 2200mah pack should deliver 44amps which should be plenty. A 30C pack would give you 66amps, that's a heck of a lot of power just for servos.

I have all HV servos on a 700 size heli that I ran directly on a 3700mah 2 cell pack for a while and now I'm running it on the built-in BEC in the Kosmik and I can't tell the difference, but then I'm not doing very aggressive flying.
