Hi I have just fitted a new rudder servo and it will not turn all the way left compared to right is this normal or is something wrong oh I am a newbie too
Helis always need 6-8 degrees of right rudder to hold a stationary hover, to correct the torque of the main blades.
So, to turn left, anything less than that will do. To turn right, you need more than that.
It looks odd, but you'll get used to it. Just make sure everything is square from the servo horn to the linkage to the intermediate linkage (if there is one) to the bell crank at the back, and that the mechanism is silky smooth and does not bind at either end, and it should all be fine. Also, get someone to check it over before you fly, to check the servo is going the right way and the gyro is sensing in the right direction etc.
