Hi all,
I've recently changed my Align 500L motor for a Scorpion HK-3026-1400 on my Trex 500 but haven't flown it properly yet (just a quick test hover).
I'm running a standard 60 amp Align ESC. At the moment I'm running 2x Turnigy 2200 3S 20C batts in series so have a max battery output of around 44 amps.
Hopefully I'll be running Turnigy 6S 3000 20C batts soon so will have a max battery output of around 60 amps.
According to the specs, the motor can draw 80 amps.
My ESC is only rated for 60 amps.
Currently the batteries can only supply 44 amps. My new batts will be good for 60A.
Is it safe to run this setup? Or might the ESC or batts go pop?
Cheers!
Matt.
