  • Can anyone tell me what this means?

    Hi all

Previously built a thunder sport with a scorpion 160 opto and ultimate motor...

I'm running the 24t pinion as book says this is needed to achieve 2200/2300rpm with my motor

The issue I'm having is the Speedo keeps reducing the rpm and when I land I have this error message di do di with the red light ( see video)

It can do it within the first 10 seconds of take of or after 2 mins flying

I'm using the scorpion governor with the lvc set to 38v with pulse warning

Have calibrated my endpoints and done the 50% Spool up business but I am still having this. Any ideas?

I am wondering if it has anything to do with my low voltage and my packs just dropping out during certain things...

Any recommendations for esc p and I gains whilst I'm here too?

    Thanking yous

Sounds like the over-current protection has activated. Here's the manual: https://www.scorpionsystem.com/files...0V1.2-7in1.pdf

I think you can reduce the sensitivity of the overcurrent detection.

        Hi Dean..

P and I interact with each other...

Between 6/7 for I gain and 5/6 for P I have found works best for that combo.
If you are using vbar you can use the vbar gov.

Insensitive setting should mean that it's less prone to tripping into protection mode due to very short transient current spikes. Reducing gov gains may help reduce the current spikes.

Set all mine to Insensitive Dean.

                Won't hurt nothing.

Side note, if your flybarless has governor control in it then its far better to use that, it knows when its is increasing the load on the system so will ramp up the power before the RPM drops rather than the ESC governor reacting to an rpm drop.
