  • 450 Scorpion motor beep

    Hi,

I just put my Trex 450 onto my new dx7s previously it was on my dx6i, but after going over the setup i keep getting a continuous beeping noise when i power it all up. I remember it doing this on my dx6i when i did not have the throttle stick all the way down at 0%, but my stick is a 0% and my throttle curves is also staring at 0% not sure why it doing this. I also just check the monitor on the dx7s and my throttle starts a -100%

The ESC i am using the the hobbywing platinum 40a

To me it sounds like you need to calibrate the ESC to your new Tx. This is normal if you change Tx's. To do this power up the heli with the Tx at full throttle. When you get a beep-beep close the throttle. The ESC should then arm as normal. At no point should the motor start but to be 100% safe best remove the pinion or the main blades. The detailed instructions on how to do this are in the instruction manual unser 'Throttle Range Setting' (bottom left page two)

You shouldnt have to reverse the throttle if going from one Spektrum Tx to another, that would only be required if swapping between brands that have opposite throttle, such as Futaba.

Try increasing the negative throttle travel % value until you get the arming tone. Some ESC's need more than -100%.

Yea that fixed it, thanks for the help. I ended up moving the throttle travel to 140% should i keep it there or put it back to 100%

If it took the full 140% to get it to arm then just leave it there. Best go through the throttle range calibration routine one more time if you havent done so already.
