Scorpion 2221-10 V Align 450m

I got the scorpion some time back and stuck it in a drawer as I shelved the 450 pro

Having resurrected the 450 recently I want to know if the scorpion will make much diff in performance. Now the scorpy is really a 4s motor and I'm not sure if it's worth the transplant ??
Anyone tried one on 3s I think I should have got a 2221-8

It's a 3000kv

The align 450m is 3500kv so I'm not sure which has the most grunt ?

Can you rewind a 1100-4020 to be an 8s motor?? I have one (fire damaged) if this is possible? It'd be nice to give 8s a go seeing as my esc will take it

You can pretty much rewind anything to be anything. The question is what power will it be able to manage, and how much space is there on the stator.

Im happy to take a look at it, and if the stator is in good enough condition, I should be able to rewind it.

So it normally runs on 6S and you want it on 8S?.. with the same gearing?

Suggestions,
You may have problems with ratios with the slant gears,
but with straight cut ones you can get larger pinions.
They make the straight cut main gear out of the New black material I think now as well.

or get the New 450L boom & 350-360 blades & go for a stretch.

Edit you would need around a 15-17T pinion, such as the HardOne type.

?? lol Well i'd run the appropriate pinion, I just give you the scorpion I want specs via fast lad but fast lad say 6-8s but then say up to 6s?? It's either one or the other.

all you need to do is tell me what kv you want.

Or if you know the headspeed you want, and the esc, and your main gear tooth number, I can do the maths
