Scorpion 130 Gov Question

This may have been answered before or i may just be being very thick, but is it possible to set up 2 different gov settings??

Ie. idle 1 at 80% throttle and have idle 2 set at 90% throttle and have the gov working in both modes??

Yup far as I have found the gov speed is relative to the curve input on the Scorpion just raise or lower the high point till you get the desired head speed.

I run mine through a vbar as it ads extra rpm at control prompt and it does seem to react a lot faster, but we set my mates up like you want just do the initial setup to get the gov to set. Make sure the I and p gains are high enough or it will not set in gov mode . We found to change it to airplane mode then back to heli gov mode then do the initial set up at a flat throttle curve as per the instructions. Then you can use two different flat curves to get the different speeds .

No just do the initial set up and make sure its entering gov mode ie you hear the head speed drop or watch the led. Once its in govner mode just alter the flat curves in ide 1 and ide 2 to the desired head speeds. You can also set a speed in norm if you start in hold.

Once you have done the initial set up you don't have to do it for each new flight which is an urban myth. Just do it on the initial time then alter the speeds via the curves.

I cant seem to get the two different headspeeds working?

I set idle 1 to 80% and idle 2 to 90% but when I flick the switch nothing happened??
When initially set the gov I did it at 80% so does this mean the gov wont go above that and I need to do the initial set at the highest rpm ie. 90%?

Is it governing at all?
You have gone into the software & turned the governor function on?
On some esc's there is a minimum value before the governor will cut in & hold I'm not sure what that is on the scorpion as I only set the one I had up the once & can't remember.

Yes gov is def turned on, When i initially set the speedo up i went through all the processes and it all set correctly, I have no probs running with the set headspeed, i just want to have the option to up it a little to liven the heli up every now and then.

Next time im out (prob tomorrow) i'll redo the initial gov set at 90% and see if it works

From memory does it not give a recommended 50% rate to set it up at its in the tips or help section, not in the gov set up section

Funny enough I was actually just reading that lol, The set up procedure tells you to set your desired headspeed/throttle curve, but when you read the tips for setting the gov it says to set a 50-50-50-50-50 curve, do the intial set and then you can program your desired curve.
I will try it later if the wind drops off here.

Meant to reply to this sooner, but I finally got the gov working spot on now.

Problem I was having is I read on a different forum that it didn't matter weather the main blades were fitted or not to do the initial set up,
So for safteys sake I was doing it with the blades off, but unable to get the gov to work I thought I may as well try with the blades on and bingo worked perfectly first time.

I almost feel a bit stupid but on the other hand am not really sure why it makes a difference......
