  • Pyro 700-52 vs 750-50

Pyro 700-52 v's the Pyro 750-50. Fair bit of size difference not to mention power. Yet with the Pyro 750 Kontronik have still managed to maintain a higher efficiency with high power output than any other comparable brand. If you want it all it really is the Pyro 750 or 750 Competition and there is no competition for 700 class electrics

    Let the fun begin

To be honest you cant beat any Kontronik motor for your heli Expensive but I cant see me using any other brand from now on. It seems Kontronik are one of the only companies to use thick gauged stator wire.

Better copper density = More power
    Lower impedance = More efficient
Less voltage drop because of low resistance = more accurate Kv value
Better air flow = runs cooler
    Lightweight

    win win.
    Matt

Yes, they have a higher price than every other but like everything else, the best comes at a price

But as you say they do use better components than others and you get German engineering over, well where ever others are made in the far east

The 750 is a good looking motor

It would be great to see a roundup of similar motors put through bench measurement tests. Perhaps the Pyro750, Align 800mx, Scorp4525? If we could see what the differences in performance and efficiency are we'd be able to make an informed decision about where to spend our cash. Its easy to point to different design factors and say 'x is better than y', but we need to substantiate this with data. I'm not pointing any fingers, just hoping someone will take up the idea.

If im honest i feel the same its all very well these co.s saying there the best ....but we need facts to back it up, graphs comparisons of torque current draws etc etc

I willing to stick my neck out and say I bet theres no real noticable difference between 800 mx 4525 and 750 pyro!

It would be interesting if theres no real difference between the 800MX and the rest as thats a motor class above?

Yes but its intended as a 700 class motor and directly pitted against tje 4525 surely nobody can dispute that with recent events and not to mention its a third of the cost....so if kontronik jusy say oh its not the same class there burying there head in the sand...its a competitor albeit a different person will buy align vs someone who will by kontronik granted...but a competitor none the less as some will say I'll save my money as they do pretty much the same job.

And by the way I own 3x scorpions before anyone sais anything about my sig lol

Ive heard a few "unbiased" comments from people who habe tried

Where have Kontronik said this. I dont thnk you will see Kontronik burying their head lol.

Regarding class of motor if Align with the 800mx are pitting this against the 4525 which is a smaller motor then its hardly correct as its a bigger motor?? That dont make sense. Its like pitting a V8 super car against a F1 car surely. The 800MX should be pitted against the Pyro 800, the 4535/4540 etc regardless of what they are targeting.

Oh, I have a Scorpion motor also
