Keeping it Cool!

I am thinking this may well be one good way of keeping things cooler on my powerjive 120Hv a good mate runs the same on his.works well and cheap as chips!

Not very! i have the Kontronik one on at the mo (no fan) just think this for the money ain't bad imo the beter you can keep air moving the better.

The efficency of a heatsink can increase as much as five fold if you force cool it. that has the effect of lowering hte junction temprature on the mosfets and that reduces the Rds(on) so therefore more power is applied to the motor. it also redusec the turn off time because of the lower temprature and this in turn will prevent shoot throuh and consequently the loss of the controler...

Thanks for that Steve, I replied to this question on TH saying I did not see the point in fitting as they get barely warm but this has changed my mind, think I will fit them to all.




The Jcooler is sweet LG but I can fit 5 of the ones from amazon for £25 or 5 of them for £200

How do you all have the space to fit these on top of the ESC?? I know on the Align 700E it's mounted on the back so wouldn't be too bad. But what about the others?

The fan is only 11mm high so I got space on all my heli's except the Faifa (without checking) for it.

I suppose it depends on where your ESC is located. Like under the canopy or somewhere where air-flow might not be optimum.
