  • Jive 120 : 7 blinks of death

i'm perplexed, my Jive 120 went seemingly pop today on the TDR with 7 flashes of death after spooling up and then dropping the throttle to zero.

Now according to the docs, 7 flashes is reverse polarity, which as my packs and connectors are EC5 and i'm anal about battery connections, can categorically say that this is not the case.

Anyone else ever had 7 flashes for seemingly normal operation?

(it's also bad karma for laughing at the post regarding the guy with the CC going pop)

Although I didn't see any flashing light or other failure indications I've had a Jive 100+LV do exactly the same thing. Mode 1 reset and a reset using a Prog card (thank you for the assistance Mr. Barnes) did nothing. I ended up sending it back to Kontroniks under warranty, as it was completely dead, who replaced it.

just tried to reset it and nothing, just sits there blinking.... grrr.... it's out of warranty now, so i'll send it to KK and see what they make of it but i suspect i'll be purchasing another, i'll have to think pretty hard whether to buy another one of these (or the pro version).

I think you might be surprised... I've had kontronik replace stuff for free before, even when I admitted the fault was crash related and it was out of warranty. So, you never know
