HACKER A50 12L 8 POLE ELECTRIC TURBINE good for 700

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with this motor, is it any good for a 700 heli on 12s for relatively lively 3d?

The only meaningfull thing I could find is this RCGroups post:

From the data log it looks like it can pull up to 4800W, which shuld be more than adequate:

Yes, I have one. It has been a very good motor for my helis, but I do not fly aggressively. I first put it in a Minicopter Triabolo and it worked very well but was running a bit hot in the summer as the canopy on that heli is very enclosed. (although, it was probably fine, but it worries me if a motor is hot to the touch). So I moved it to my Kasama Faifa where it gets very good airflow and it runs cool, has plenty of power.

Thanks Trillian, I guess the best thing to do will be to just try it, before assuming anything. Hopefully I will get this bird up in the air soon and will take it from there . I will make sure it gets proper airflow tho. Cheers
