Hello,
the Quantum 4530 does NOT fit the Gaui X7.
The shaft is too short for the lower bearing support. About 1 mm enters the bearing, but you can't load a ball bearing one-sided.
I've put a washer underneath the lower support bearing to raise it, but it's a hack.
Flying without bearing support sounds like a bad idea, a 6 mm motor shaft end will probably flex under load.
I was about to comment
on the rotten X7 design, but actually it does make sense to place the motor as high as possible for straight rolls (center-of-gravity, it's 10 % of total weight).
Let's hope some shaft upgrade comes along. I asked from the manufacturer but got no reply.
The mounting pattern matches, the stock X7 screws have just the right length.
The shaft has a flat side along its whole length, no need for Dremel work to secure the pinion.
