Some of you already know about this. For several years there has been a free online application called Mr Mel's Headspeed Calculator.
I think the web version is offline now, but there is a mobile app version for Android and Apple and it's silly cheap.
I have used the online version for years, hundreds, maybe thousands of times. Want to find the right pinion for a certain motor?, or motor for a certain cell count?, or see what your current headspeed is at your TX throttle %, etc. etc. and I find it is quite accurate (at least it is for the Kontronik ESCs).
This has been a vital tool for doing mods, electric conversions etc. And now with the Android version it's even better because I might be out having a coffee and think to myself 'hmm, I wonder if this other motor would work with the right pinion' (yes, I do think things like that).
