More efficient replacement for 600MX ?

I'm just curious what the suggestions would be, if you wanted to replace an Align 600MX motor with something better what would it be?

The power of the 600MX is fine, so the criteria would be things like smoother running, more efficiency (if it would actually be enough for longer flight times).

I currently have two 600MXs and they are working very well right now but I have read about vibration issues with them. I have not noticed any vibes as yet, one heli is flybarred and G-10 frame so vibes prob are not an issue, the other is carbon frame (Beam Avantgarde) and Total-G.

Also, space is an issue on these helis so I don't think a motor that is wider would fit. I have seen there is a new Scorpion that is a slim profile made to fit in the space of the 600mx.

I would think the only one really worth looking at for efficiency is Kontronik , Scorpions tend to get pretty got so aren't that efficient really IMO. You obviously will be spending a lot to get a Kontronik motor though....

The 600MX whether 1220 or 510 are a third of the price of the Kontronic. I am happy with my 1220 and 510 600MXs and have not had any problems with vibrations. I have a Kontronic 700/45 in the TDR and had a Scorpion 4035/500 in the Goblin 700 (replaced it with a 700MX). Both ran as hot as the 600MXs. In fact the Scorpion came down WAY hotter.

If you got 50 ish mm to play with you can shoe horn a 700-520 or 700-450 for longer run time on lower kv

No idea on efficiency but I like the price and power specs and frankly the HK motors I've got in my 500 has been as good as the align one and it isn't this new helidrive competiton spec
