  • Anyone use Voltz stuff?

Hi guys, i am on the look out for a charger for my trex 550e v2. I have just bought a turnigy battery from hobby king (6s 5000mah 35c) and looking at a suitable charger. As of yesterday I was going to buy a cellpro 10s, but then I saw the voltz 6250 charger. With powers supply it works out at £155, where as the cellpro 10s with power supply works out at £230. I know with the 10s i will only charge one pack at a time, so my thoughts are I will not be missing out on anything if I go with a cheaper charger. Could anyone help me out with abit more info on the voltz stuff?

Check out electric wing man. They sale the I charger range who make the Voltz unit. The firmware update claim is also an ignima from Voltz, it's supplied by I chargers web site. The difference? about £50.00 in your pocket! I have the 1010b Inc power supply 300watts and up to 10 cells. They also sell the 6 cell version you are looking at for about £65.00. Power supply is about £45.00.
Hope this post isn't too late!

thanks for the heads up. I'll look into this tonight when I finish work. Is the icharger/voltz stuff any good tho? Has anyone had any issues with it? Is it as good as a cellpro 10s?

I've seen plenty of happy iCharger users, I do recall some mention of the Voltz power supplies having a few issues, but I'll have to dig for a link.

Personally I wouldn't go for the Cellpro 10s though. I have one here and it has been a good charger, but it is not really flexible enough if you need to go above 5s. My preference is still the PowerLab 8 if you can afford it.

Having had both the Cellpro 10S x 2 and I-charger 206B x 2 (Voltz) IMHO the I-charger (voltz) is the one to get.

PL8 is upmarket at around £70 more and really needs to be compared against the I-charger 3010B. The 206B is 350W at around £85-£90

The downside of opting for one BIG charger is the packs should be of comparative size/charge to parallel charge which is the idea behind the bigger chargers.. In reality it means you got to deplete your stack of Lipos before you start charging again. 2 x more modest output chargers allow a more flexable charge solution.

A lot depends on your current and future requirements concerning battery size and turnaround at the field etc.

The pl8 is way out my budget. But I was just thinking that if I got for the more expensive cellpro 10s, I will still only be able to charge one pack at a time. So to me I am kind of leaning towards the voltz chargers, as they will do one pack at a time but for nearly £85 less.

The 10S is not a sensible choice if you want to charge 6S packs, a good charger below that but the wrong choice for a 6S solution.

iCharger - Battery Balance Chargers from Junsi

Right Sunny_Manku 1985 here's the link. As I previously mentioned the Voltz chargers are a re badged version of the original I charger. I went for the 1010b and 350 power supply. Very happy with my set up. use it both at home and on field with a 12volt supply.
If I remember correctly the Voltz 6250 is a version of the I charger 106b difference? only £61.95 its a no brainer here. Junsi P350 350W PSU is also about £25.00 cheaper for same thing!
Electric wing man are the cheapest, I did a lot of price research last month, before my purchase. I also found the shop great people to deal with. But then again, you pays your money and takes your choice.
My money, obviously on the I chargers set up. I hope this helps you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions via PM.

Looks like your in the same boat as me. I did so much research into the cellpro 10s and the new version. Then I sat back and thought about the cost difference. The cell pro is an amazing charger, but will only charge one pack of 6s at a time. And your paying £130 for the unit. For the voltz charger your paying alot less for a charger that does near enough the same thing. I think that I have made my choice.
