Hello tech wizzkids, I think I know the answer but thought I'd ask, I have just purchased a 150 and have 5 batteries for it, I also have a Turnigy Mega 300w Dual Charger and 2 ec3 parallel balance boards, this allows me to charge all my 250, 450 and 500 batteries. Now as the 150 batts are 2 cell 7.4v 250mah I assumed I could just plug them into the balance ports on parallel board, but charger says connection break, which I take is because the output leads aren't connected to anything ie nothing to the EC3 plug. Is there a way round it or do I buy a parallel harness with the output and balance leads linked. Thanks in advance, Steve

if you google it there is a wiring diaghram to show you how to adapt the balance lead to charge themHirobo Turbulence D3

Hey.
Quick Google and HeliFreak brought this up;
HeliFreak - View Single Post - Align T-Rex 150 DFC
I think Delerado did a very crude sketch and posted it on this forum to.
Or, you could get; AF-CL2SPAR | Affinity Parallel x4 Charge Lead for Trex150/2S LiPo
Ready done.

Ok guys I appreciate your input, buuuuut maybe I wasn't making my question clear, I have trex 250, 450 and 500batteries, I can charge them all with my charger using these $_35.JPGbut my new trex 150 batteriesHBP02501-l-500x500.jpg only have the JST-XH plug, so no lead or thicker power input lead, which on my other batts would have an EC3. I can plug the 150 batts into board, but without the ec3 connection I don't think charger will play ball. Is there a way of hotwiring the ec3 connection ie wire an ec3 to a jst-xh and plug that in or will that be a fiizzbang moment or do I just order some/one of these image0011.jpg( like the one coolice suggested) thanks again, Steve

look on the last picture
it shows how to hot wire the main charge output to the balance leadHirobo Turbulence D3

Hi Electricsceadu first one on google if you type what? As I said, google's great if you know what to type. Any way in summary, can I wire a ec3 connector to a jst-xh 2 cell plug, obviously observe polarity. Plug ec3 into balance board, plug jst into a 2 cell port on board, plug batteries into other balance ports, charge away happy ever after. Yes or no answers on a postcard please.

i don't know about the parrell boards as i've never used or seen one
but as the 150 is only a small battery the board will take it
i've seen the mod done and working on a std balance board
i googled trex150 charging wiring diagramHirobo Turbulence D3

Happy bunny this morning, took a while to convince myself that I was doing the right thing, but made a link cable by soldering pos of ec3 to pos of jst and neg to neg. Take out centre wire of JST. Plug in to balance board, plug in battery, stand back, close eyes, turn on power at arms length, no bang, select lipo, balance, 7.4v 250mah, balance charge at .2 for one battery, .5 FOR 2, .7 X 3, 1amp X 4, 1.2 x 5 etc press charge, hey presto. SORTED
CLEARLY IF YOU TRY THIS YOURSELF I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FIZZBANGS, DO SO AT YOU OWN RISKLast edited by parksy; 01-04-2014, 10:39 PM.
