  • Charging AA's using a Turnigy Accucell 6 ?

    Hi,

i have the Turnigy Accucelll 6 and am charging up to 6,3 cell lipos at once in parallel with no problem, but as this charger can charge all types of batteries, I want to get a battery holder that I can recharge my AA's for the transmitter in. Does anyone have a link they can post for the item that I would need ?

    many thanks in advance !!!

    cheers James.

Something like this? They can be had for cheaper if you search around i just took it as an example.

I used to have a few of them when i was into rc cars and used them on the receivers

Thank you all, I can see plenty on the links you've added. I take it I'll need to solder on the appropriate lead or can you get them with the correct leads already attached ? If I do have to solder it on which lead would I need ? Would o plug it into the main terminals on the Accucell charger or would it just be connnected via the balance plug ? Or do I need to attach both somehow, if I am going to back able to balance them l like I do with the lipos ?

            Thanks again,

            James.

Oh yeah, thanks, I was being a bit thick there as there is no need to balance them as they are all 1 cell !! Do you know if I can get a battery holder with the correct leads attached or would I need to buy them separately and solder them on ?

                cheers.

You're not being thick, they do need balancing to get the same charge in each one. Nobody bothers though. If you get them out of balance you can charge them at C/20 for as long as it takes.

Thanks, do you know if you can get the battery boxes anywhere with the correct leads attached, or do I need to solder them on myself ? I can see some that have them wires attached, but I am not sure if they are thick enough, do I need to worry about this when only charging 1.5v AA's ? My normal AA charger has just given up the ghost so thought it would the cheaper option to hook a battery box up to the Turnigy charger instead of buying a new AA charger.

                    cheers James.
