The nano-techs at our field aren't having the best life span. The guys that have had them in their 500s, 600s and 700s are mostly seeing deteriorating cells and puffing in their packs with less than a seasons flying. I'm not talking back to back flights here either. Not even close.

Personally, I only have small 3s or 2s nano-tech packs, which have been fine, though my oldest ones (from the very first batch HobbyKing listed) are a little puffed. They still put out enough power though but have had only light use. I doubt they've had 30 cycles.

I'd buy the Turnigy blues over nano-techs all day long. I have some 3S 2200 blues I bought in 2010 and they're still fine. No puffing, and granted not many cycles on them (20 - 30 tops) but they're still in tip top shape.

For my 700 when I get it, I'll probably try the Zippy compacts or the Haiyin batteries first. Probably 4400s as I want to keep the weight down, and I don't know how long I can avoid buying a Goblin 500 for.

Gens Ace would have been my first choice (I have some 3S 2200s and 6S 1200s which are really nicely put together), but the price is too high on them these days.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I ultimately usually run with 4 though so I may get a couple of GensAce next month too. Oddly enough I tend to fly more in the winter!
Always check the solder joints as I had an xt60 almost dry and the red pulled out from HK

well i am just a noob I have 0 knowledge about lipos ...I don't know anything about the numerical values like all the amps n other stuff....but I just look around things at different sites and obviously try get the good quality stuff at fair price n save a bit of money n use it for financing other parts for the heli..I think all the good buyers should link up together n start a customer union for fair price
