Turnigy 5000 6s 40c (lucky escape!!)

I have just been out flying my 550 & took with me 4 x Turnigy 5000 6s 40c lipos.
Had three really good flights, but when i came to power up the fourth pack, the power to the esc started flickering on and off and making a crackling noise!!
I have tried powering up with the other packs and the esc initializes fine.
Anyway, i'm now back home and have plugged the lipo into the charger and it says 'connection break' if i move the black wire (which has now come off)
This may be a daft question, but is it safe for me to solder a new EC5 connector on with the lipo when fully charged??

Perfectly safe as long as you isolate any chance of shorting

I put a piece of heatshrink over the lead I'm not soldering and fix it with an elastic band around the pack. Solder one bullet then clip it into the blue shroud whilst you do the second

All fixed now, i'm just glad the loose connection showed before i spooled up!
