Exactly and if I do 100 flights over 2 years with every pair I'd be happyOriginally posted by Evo Andy View PostIn all seriousness me too. It is obviously company confidential as to how the number of expected cycles for example has been reached. For the occasional flyer a figure of 500 would represent over 3 years flying when doing only 3 flights every weekend.
To even do it in the first place is a joke and I wonder how many people who have flown both now have stopped buying TP's and gone to Turnigys?Originally posted by bigpops View PostTo be fair to them, they do say on the video that you'll probably the the video is biased, so to do your own testing.

bit late in replying to this topic but in my short experience there awesome lipos. ive kitted out my fleet with the tp G6's and i love em. i wouldent say there massively more powerfull then other lipos ive used but they barely get warm after a good raggin so im liking them bigtime. 600+ cycles, im yet to find out if this is true but im confident it isT- Rex 600 EFL PRO, KontroniK Jive 80HV, Outrage TORQ HV Servos, Skookum bus, BeastX V3, Rail 606

It would be nice if instead of telling us about ultra low this or that, they gave us something we could measure. Like maximum voltage drop at 50 amps for example. I'd like to see the guarantee as well. I've just bought a 12V battery with a 3 year guarantee. There doesn't seem any information on what it means though, other than if its broke we'll replace it. We need a minimum specification that the battery can be tested against. All I see is faulty workmanship.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

Not being funny, but you can't dismiss a video as rubbish, and then give a vague response like that.Originally posted by stanley1 View Postthat vis is complete rubbish, turnigys are shiteHarry

You can if you know what your on about and Turnigies are cheap batteries that are ok for the price, compairing them to Thunderpowers is just a no brainer !Originally posted by Planehazza View PostNot being funny, but you can't dismiss a video as rubbish, and then give a vague response like that.
Ive swelled a few up and after about the 30 flights of hard 3d they just pack uo and there are plenty of people on here that would agree.

Thankyou, my brief experience with turnigys showed that they puff up very easily have a short cycle life, power isnt great. And 20/30 cycles in they become more difficult to balance properly.

I run 6s 5000 20-30C Turnigy's in my 700's and have well over 50 cycles on them and some are 1 year old, no puff yet. £38 each posted!
Mine all balance perfectly, actually batter than my Optipower packs (2x 6s 2700 30C)!
What I do is plug them straight into the battery checker when they arrive and if they are out of balance by 0.2v or they have a dead cell (not happened yet and I have 10 of them!) I send them back (costs a few quid but so what) remebering to input the barcode number on the HK website. If they are say 0.1v out of balance I will connect them to my charger using crocodile clips (so I don't have to remove the connectors
) and see if they balance better after a short 0.5C charge (they usually do). Most are balanced to within 0.05v anyway, some as good as 0.02v which only gets better after a couple of gentle cycles!
