I have the MPA, the main advantage is if you plug something in wrong a fuse will blow which can be replaced. The cheap one, you will be throwing it away, but you can buy 2.5 of them for the same money.

I would say its worth it.

      Ok cool..

Another question then! does it balance charge all 6 lipos as 6 difference lipos or does the charger only see 1 lipo?

And it also feels like a real quality bit of kit. Took me a while to come around to spending this much on a balance board, but I'm glad I did now. Works great with my PL6 with the added peace of mind of fuse protection.

The charger sees the lipo as one big battery, suggest you read up on parallel charging before you start there is loads of good info in the internet about it.

          Two main things to remember.

          1. The lipos must all be of the same cell count.
          2. The lipos should be within a few percent of charge or not more than around 0.2-0.3 volts different

MPA is a nice bit of kit. I only charge 2 packs in parallel, but i have setup my board with the myriad of connectors i have so i can charge 2 x 6s EC5s, or 2 x 6s 4mm bullets, or 1 x EC3, or just swop the cables for what i need.

As stated above, when actually charging the packs need to be the same cell count

It is a bit big, so you need to think about how you will arrange your charging station and I would recommend buying lots of extension cables for the balance leads

I have a couple of those. But find cables more flexible with battery placement. You got to love hk.

I use EC5 & Balance lead extensions. Makes it much easier to lay out the Lipos.
