pl8 firmware updates

so i have just got a new pl8 i nearly went for the 6 but i can see us using 16s set ups in the future :P and i am aslo fed up of my cheap £50 charger sounds like the fans going to pack in every tie i use it and its bin back once for the same fault

anyway back on subject is it worth buying the usb lead to update the firmware when it comes ? or has any one got one going cheap

carnt wait to get it i have heard very good things about them

Its worth getting the cable as not only will it allow updates of firmware, you can control the entire unit from your PC. A lot easier that using the buttons on the unit itself.

Not only worth, but I think it's absolutely necessary. There were some substantial firmware changes since PL8 was released.
Nothing which would burn and destroy the charger/lipo, but much improved usability.

I used my Cellpro 10S one (FUIM2) so I presume so.

I use the same lead that works with the Cellpro 10s and the Multi 4 without issues mate.

Very easy to change your presets around too and make tables if you want.

Happy Days PL8 updated to V3.30 using old serial to usb typle lead, now going to play with presets
