  • PL8 Connector recomendations

Looking at picking up a PL8 in soon, asuming you want to use the charger to the max what connectors are you guys using to plug it into the power supply. The croc clips look clumbersum, i'd prefer to used some sort of banana type conector but the ones I can find aren't rated high enough

i have ec5 connection from pl8, then this lead Revolectrix PL8 40A Safety Banana Plug Cable PL8.40A.Cable with a ec5 on the end, i hoping that because the fuse is rated to 40amp that the banana connector is also rated at least 40amp.

I've not seen then, Being cellpro you'd think the are, but what about the scocket you're plugging it into, is that the correct rating to run it at its 1300+ watt

So far i have charged 4 packs at 20amp from the pl8, the psu was saying about 33-37amp output and it was fine, the wires do get warm though.

What are the other options that have a higher rating? and is 32amp split between the two bananas.

                  Not a lot really ,
as your limited to the pl8 4mm connectors I'm afraid

You could go past 32A , I know people who have , BUT you risk your connector melting :-(

                    I'm charging 6 x 6s 5000's @ 1C , which is pulling 25A ( using a 30v power supply )
If only got 24v , then obviously your amp draw will be higher

So we have this charge with great capability but we cann't power it safely?

So what method are these people using who we see charging 6 and 8, 6s 5000mah packs at once?

I think yor going to struggle charging 8x 6S 5000's tbh Safely
Even at 1C your going to be pulling some serious amps

You could charge at .75C , it will just take longer
